9. It's Here!!

my wedding gown has arrived!!!


i just got the notice in the mail today and cannot wait to go look at it :) it'll be awhile before i start any alterations though - gotta get in shape!


and just in case you were wondering - i was torn between these two dresses before - but i ultimately decided to go with this little number. i know i called it a gown but..oh well. what do you all think?

p.s. totally kidding on that. i wouldn't wear that even if i did have the body - good god.

8. Hmmm.....

upon sitting down i felt that i had about a gajillion things to blog about. okay - not that many but a lot. once i actually sat and logged in however my mind has gone blank. hmph.


perhaps i'll go create a new music play list. very productive, no? oh - speaking of radio i recently discovered pandora. i love it. i wanted a radio i could get on my phone and it's only $2.99 a month! now instead of detesting every minute of my job...well...i still deteste every minute of my job but at least now my day has a sweet soundtrack :)

i had no idea that george carlin died! i found out watching the colbert report of all places....

i really like him - made me sad.

6. Amazing

a baby. kelly had a baby.

i've had a few friends give birth within the past year yet it still never ceases to amaze me. the fact that our bodies can grow these tiny little beings inside them. you can explain the ins and outs to me all you want but it will never cease to astound me. it's absolutely amazing!

i went to see her last night. the baby is beautiful. kelly looked beautiful. i wanted to say more - but i was just in so much awe that i'm sure what i did say wasn't at all what i intended.

that's pretty much all i got right now. my brain has just been filled with amazingness.

i just got the phone call. it's official!


chris and i are going to be married on Saturday May 9, 2009!!

3. Baby FermaNels is Coming!!

i got a text from molly early this morning letting me know she was on her way to kelly's - the baby was coming!!

since then i've been awaiting word. i let chris know that either today or tomorrow we will be heading out to meet the wee one! I cannot wait!! :)

2. Knitting is Dangerous

when most people think of knitting sweet images of little old ladies and balls of yarn come to mind - not images of hazardous accidents.

i was calmly knitting away on my couch last evening when i had to pause for a moment and untangle my yarn. while i did this i popped the end of one needle into my mouth - it's never been a problem. when my yarn was untangled i decided to switch seating positions and in doing so i bumped the end of the needle in my mouth. it rammed up into the roof of my mouth and gouged out a nice line of it. OW!

while it was nothing that sent me to the ER it is painful. (eating frosted flakes for breakfast reminded me of this) so yeah - knitting is dangerous - be careful!

hello!

i figured since i'd told everyone i'd moved over here i'd best go ahead and actually post something! not much to say though. pretty lazy weekend......


i went and bought some new yarn for a new special project :) (i really should be banned from the yarn store...) but they have these cute little bags now and whenever you use it to shop there you save 5%! how can i resist? now i just have to get all of my yarn organized! i bought some cute little wall hanging compartments from IKEA to store it all in but i have yet to hang them. speaking of IKEA - chris and i have become rather fond of the 'as-is' section. half the time there is nothing noticably wrong with the stuff and when you can find this shelf for 50% off (and i've been wanting it f-o-r-e-v-e-r) how can you pass it up?


what else? perhaps you're wondering why i started a new blog when it's pretty much just the same as the old one? i needed a change. as much as i love black, white and red i wanted to brighten things up. sure - i could have changed the background colors on the old one but so many of my posts were in light colors that you wouldn't have been able to read them and well...i wanted a new blog! i might jump back and forth between the two - we'll see. i also needed a new name. since you all know i hate my job i didn't want that association brought into my house every time i blogged. and as much as i loved it's catchiness - this one just states the obvious.


and with that i am off to start my new knitting project. or perhaps i'll read (seeing as how book club meets in a week and i just got the book today!)
