i've had many emotions in regards to the wedding. disbelief. stress. excitement. and now....
nervousness...
so far all of my focus has been on the reception and honeymoon. sure - i've thought about the ceremony but now i'm really thinking about the ceremony. about vows. i looked online at some examples and they all seem a bit - processed. but i don't think i'd be good at (nor does chris want to) writing our own.
i just want the ceremony to be short and sweet. meaningful but not a lot of pagentry.
i'm also having nervous/guilt twitches about involving others in the wedding. people have asked to help me on numerous occasions but i either don't know what i need help with or feel guilty asking for/accepting it. strange? i don't know.
i just have a sloshy yuck ball in the pit of my tummy right now....
[whimper....]

87. Signed. Sealed. Delivered.
that's right. the wedding invitations are going to be mailed today! *
we were up until midnight. things would have gone much quicker had i actually put together a formal list of addresses. instead i was going off tiny bits of scrap paper. a lot of texts were sent and received and a lot of calls were made. but....it's all done. well...i still have about 9 more labels to print off tonight.....
hopefully chris can find a post office that is willing to hand cancel our invites. i'm worried that cramming them into the a machine will tear them up. when my mom asked at our local post office while she was buying stamps the guy was a bit of a dick and said they didn't have time due to cutbacks. excuse me? the post office is in trouble because people don't use it as much anymore and you're going to be rude to someone who is buying 240 stamps from you and wanting to mail 120 invites? enjoy delivering your penny savers dink.....
wow. we're actually getting married. not that i haven't realized this before but it's sinking in more...crazy....
*thanks to my mom and chris who spent they day (while i was at work) getting stamps and adhering them to the invites and also printing off reception cards and sticking them in the envelopes. thank you thank you thank you!
